I’ve recently returned to using film for image making after a hiatus of a year or more. The reason for the hiatus was somewhat ironic; I’m a scientist by trade but now function in more of a managerial/consultant role. Which means I’ve long given up day to day experimentation in the lab. So using filn to make images, then developing it and printing in my darkroom was a way to stay connected to wet lab work. But last year I had so much going on at the day job, having to collaborate and coordinate across several time zones that I had neither time nor energy for the studio or image making.

But enough about that. I’m getting back into the rhythm of the studio, working with film and getting back to various printmaking and book projects. Today I’m trying a new to me developer and am looking forward to seeing the results.
