Cell Cycle began as an exploration of the interaction of materials with different chemical properties: oil based inks and dry pigments suspended in alcohol. The forms that resulted have rivulets and boundaries at the interface where these different materials came into contact. The resulting monotype prints share strong resemblances to microscopic images of cells at different stages of their life cycle. These prints were exhibited at the Maltwood Gallery, and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.
