Cell Grids explores the effects of heat and light on the drying properties of a wet, aqueous solution of ink on a plastic surface. The resulting shapes are reminiscent of microscopic images of cell smears made from clinical samples. Although the drawings themselves have not been exhibited, they were used as negatives to print the cyanotypes of the Cellular Matrix and Nuclear Matrix pieces in the Redox exhibition at the Slide Room Gallery.
